I recently went on a nine-day trip to Rome, and it was an eye-opener. I got to see amazing places like the Pantheon, Vatican, Pompeii, Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and St. Peter's Basilica. It was incredible to see buildings that are hundreds, even thousands of years old, still standing strong and looking beautiful. It made me appreciate how powerful good architecture can be.
The trip was about more than just old buildings, though. I tried real Italian food for the first time, and let me tell you, the handmade pasta is as good as everyone says. This was my first trip outside my own country, and it really showed me how different life can be in other places.
Going to Rome changed the way I think about life and architecture. It made me love architecture even more, seeing how it shapes places and cultures. I came back home with a whole new perspective and a deeper appreciation for what I do.
