The structure is built with a steel skeleton frame and a reinforced concrete foundation for durability and stability. Wooden siding was used for exterior cladding to reflect a traditional rural aesthetic, while Spanish roof tiles provide distinctive character. The roof is supported by steel trusses, allowing for a wide, open interior suitable for training activities.
The design focused on creating a functional and safe environment for horses and trainers. Natural materials and a straightforward layout were used to reflect the rural setting while ensuring durability and efficiency.
My responsibilities included developing floor plans, creating a 3D model in Revit, and performing a building code analysis to ensure compliance. I also helped select construction systems and materials that aligned with the performance needs and the building’s rural context.
Successfully completed a code-compliant design, contributed to material selection and spatial layout, and created a detailed Revit model that supported the overall design presentation.
